As part of the Intellectual Property practice, the patent division provides patent application preparation and patent prosecution as well as counseling clients in matters regarding patentability, validity and infringement. Exemplary practice areas include the
materials and chemical arts, metallurgical arts, mechanical arts, software arts, business method arts and electrical arts. Each of our patent practitioners, registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), hold undergraduate or advanced degrees in engineering, computer science or science. In addition, our patent practitioners provide advice and counseling with respect to licensing, trade secrets and confidential information. Members of the patent practice also handle patent litigation, working in conjunction with the firm’s Litigation Department.
