Shaun practices with the Business Counseling, Financial Services, and Real Estate groups and is Chair of the Firm's Securities Group.
Shaun serves as outside general counsel to national manufacturing, real estate, agricultural, and services companies, providing advice on a wide range of matters including acquisitions and dispositions, debt and equity financing (including public and private offerings), business planning, corporate and partnership structure, succession planning, contracting, commercial leasing, and general business counseling.
During his twenty-five year career, Shaun has represented clients in several specialty areas, including:
- Initial and secondary public offerings and market listings of equity securities
- Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act compliance
- Affordable housing tax credit projects
- Insurance regulatory matters
- Auction law for the world's largest Standardbred breeding farm and sales company
- Real estate development of major retail centers
Shaun also spent several years early in his career as a Philadelphia litigator, so he brings an understanding of the litigation process to his business counseling advice.
Currently, to enhance the tax component of his business analysis, Shaun is enrolled in the Villanova University School of Law Graduate Tax Program.
Shaun earned a black belt in Korean martial arts (Jung Sim Do) in December 2006.
