Rebecca practices in the Intellectual Property and Food Industry Practice groups.
Rebecca’s practice focuses on all aspects of trademark and copyright law, including registration, licensing and protection against infringement and counterfeit goods. She represents clients on trademark matters both in federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
She assists clients with developing and implementing advertising and branding strategies, preparing and negotiating marketing, private label and distribution agreements, and regularly counsels clients on social media, sweepstakes and website issues. She represents clients in advertising matters in National Advertising Division arbitration proceedings and in domain name proceedings before the National Arbitration Forum.
Rebecca’s practice extends to all areas of franchising including counseling clients on franchising their business models, franchise development and expansion, including the preparation of franchise and area development agreements and franchise disclosure documents, and other franchise issues such as franchisee termination and compliance with state and federal laws.
Prior to attending law school, she represented the Department of Defense in the acquisition, negotiation and administration of major weapon system and service contracts.
