John Baker is the Member in Charge of the State College office of McNees and practices in the Firm's Labor and Employment, Healthcare and Litigation groups. His practice also regularly involves litigation matters in state and federal courts.

John regularly advises for-profit and non-profit employers on business and labor and employment matters, including compliance with state and federal employment laws. He also counsels employers on the hiring and discharge of key employees, matters involving independent contractors, and workplace privacy issues. In addition to providing counsel on employment matters, he also advises healthcare entities on issues such as compliance with state and federal law and corporate governance.

John is a frequent speaker for various human resource and employer/employee groups throughout Pennsylvania.

John is a resident of State College and is an avid outdoorsman. He is the current President of the Friends Board for the Penn State Palmer Museum of Art and is a member of the inaugural leadership class of the Centre Region MS Society.
