Harvey practices in the Intellectual Property Group and leads its Litigation Division, as well as being a member of the Litigation and Injunction Groups. He joined the firm in 1976 and was elected to membership in 1983. Calling upon his more than 35 years of trial experience to represent clients in all phases of intellectual property litigation, he regularly practices before various state and federal courts throughout the United States, as well as the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Harvey has represented diverse clients in jury and non-jury trials of trademark, copyright and patent cases. He has lectured widely for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and other organizations on the subjects of trial practice, procedure, evidence and intellectual property litigation. Harvey also has extensive experience with all forms of alternate dispute resolution. Since 2006, he has served as a certified mediator on the Pro Bono Mediation Panel of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Harvey is listed in both Best Lawyers in America® and Pennsylvania SuperLawyers® in the field of Intellectual Property Litigation. In 2010 he was selected by his peers as one of the inaugural group of Masters of the William W. Lipsitt Inn of Court of the Dauphin County in 2010. In addition to his active practice responsibilities, Harvey serves as Firm Counsel and Chair of McNees Wallace & Nurick’s Ethics and Conflicts Committee.
